Art Impressions week: Card

Hi,
Here's another card made by Michelle this time. This stamp is fun.. It's actually a set of two stamps "Font and back", so you can play with the inside of the card too.
That's what Michelle did and beautifully too.... here's how...

The Brick background was made by embossing the Impression Obsession Cover-a-card brick stamp onto white card with clear embossing powder then inking with pumice stone Distress Ink. This was then ironed with a piece of greaseproof paper over it which gave a faux batik effect.
The friends back image was stamped onto white card and then onto a number of patterned paper scraps which were then paper pieced to give the patterned clothes.
The rest of the image was coloured with promarkers then cut out
I stamped the image again onto woodgrain card to make the shop window and cut out just the window shape.
I stamped the image onto the brick wall which was mounted on the card and cut out the window through all the layers, cutting off the heads of those lovely ladies!

To make the window frame for the inside, I stamped the ladies faces once onto white card with Memento ink and then onto woodgrain card.
I coloured the faces with Promarkers, then cut them out and stuck them in position on the back of the paper pieced image and adhered them to the front of the card so that when positioned the ladies would appear to be looking through the window.

The cut out window frame was then adhered around the window on the inside of the card after 'wallpapering' the card with patterned paper.
I used an old cupcake stamp from my stash, for inside the card, but there are some fantastic Hobby Art stamps which have a table cloth, cupcakes and tea cups etc. - cant wait for my next order!
